On our way south with The Bravehearts who had to abandon their car in the desert after the gearbox went.

making slow progress along terrible roads south of Kaolack. Potholes the size of bathtubs. That's where there is tarmac, mostly off road on dirt.

The Bravehearts  stopped for the night just short of the border. Enjoying a beer at sundown and listening to the birdsong. Nearly there!

went to St Louis today for look around. Have packed up and made ready for early start tmrw.

Toughest day so far... So much to do... Spent all day getting nowhere... It's hard work relaxing this much... zzzzz

arrived zebrabar camp. Beer at last. ¤240 lighter per car at the border. But we did see flamingos boar monkeys on the long dusty drive.

Arrived Nouachchott off to zebrabar tomorrow for a well earned break

Camped at Luc and Martine's north of Laayoune last night. Supper under a sky full of stars, with wine. Driving on thru the mist this morning.

Camping near Daklha. Gonna make early start for border tomorrow. Hopefully to be met by a guide that Carl used last year. See you on the other side.

Good night in Marakech. Did Tizi-n-test pass today. Snow capped peaks, winding road and great views. On to Agadir for tonight.

couldn't be bothered with the camp site in Agadir so we pulled off the N1 to camp for the night. Let's get supper on.

left Tangiers @5 drove as far as poss, til 11, try make up time. camped near Casablanca. On way to Marakech in sunshine. Back in the groove at last.

Arrived 'kech. Very busy roads. 'Drive like a Moroccan' says Pete. Carl's gone to find us rooms. Success, great little place. Park, check in, chill.

today is d-day! Stuck here for 5 days. If we don't leave now we may never make it to banjul at all. Waves crashing over harbour wall.

Long hard day's drive thru france with  Lost in Transits - Tranny One   and  Lost in Transits - Are You Sure?   mostly raining. Just got to spain. Couple more hours drive yet b4 bed.
